tracking help please!

My darling husband built a wedge for my alt-az mount SE8. After an hour of

frustration trying to polar align ( i had a complete lapse in brain function) I finally got it. I was so impressed with myself when i punched M42 into the handset and poof there it was! But my success was short lived as I cant get the tracking right. I want to do some astrophotos but am getting a downward motion blur. Sooooo can someone help?

Does your AltAz know it is on a wedge? If it doesn't, then bless its little heart, it will be altering the Alt part when it shouldn't.

Someone might be able to advise you how to get around this.

HA! wrinkly your a genius! I did the polar align but not the wedge change in the control If it quits snowing and clears up i will give that a whirl!
