First light and a new object.

After a bit of a break, I got myself a secondhand Skywatcher 200p on an HEQ5 Synscan mount. Despite having a slow start (very!) attempting to polar align my new pride & joy, I finally got alignment with one then two stars and had a look around. I spent most of the set-up process with the outside light on so I could see what I was doing.

My first sight was M92. A cluster that, even with my ruined night vision, was spectacular! I followed this with M15 - at least I think it was. I considered getting the camera out for some prime photography but decided to stick to viewing as I didn't want to push my luck.

All in all, a great night with a couple of objects not seen before in the bag.

Well chuffed :p
