Cool blue sunset.

I spent today yomping the hills with the dog, Cachou, in rather brutal heat and with some semi-monstrous ups and downs. Not terribly fit. Must try harder!

However, armed with a tube of ice-cool* I just watched the sunset and it showed absolutely no reddening whatsoever. I therefore conclude that the sky is crystal clear and utterly squandered on a bright moon! Given the prodigious heat of the afternoon I suppose the seeing will be abysmal till the wee hours. Cachou, normally on the alert for scents to chase, spent much of the walk lying under trees waiting for me to catch up and panting like... a very hot dog.

No reddening = clear sky? Ludicrous as it may seem I have never given this a thought.
