This image was taken about 2 months ago, but as I wasn't satisfied with my initial processing I never posted it. It also suffers from some amount of coma due to a collimation error during the 2nd imaging session. In the end I think this subject needs much more exposure to make the dust regions stand out. I have seen that the info is present in my data, but I just can't get enough contrast to make it clearly visible. Maybe my garden is just not dark in our grey July nights for this kinds of object. Will try again from a darker place in the future.

66x 5 min (34 on July 4 and 32 on July 9 2011, 5hrs30min), ISO 1600, 18 darks, 20 flat, 20 bias, captured with Nebulosity 2.3.3.

Pre-processing: DSS 3.3.0 (Kappa-Sigma)

Post-processing: Nebulosity 2.3.3 (Color balance/DDP) and CS3 (Levels/Curves/Saturation/Carboni tools/HLVG)

OTA: Skywatcher BKP2001 8" Black line Newton F/5 with MPCC

Mount: Skywatcher NEQ6-pro controled by EQmod/CdC
