Imaging with the C8

Recommended Posts

Am I correct in saying, imaging wise, that it is OK as is for planets and that I need a focal reducer for DSO's.

Also would you put the toucam directly into the visual back or would it be OK to go through the diagonal.

Cheers

You can image without a reducer ,but the image will be very faint, meaning you need to do longer exposures for Dso than if you had one.

Planets are "easy" just a toucam , i personally use a diagonal but i suppose if you go direct then you may get a sharper image.

Re the PM I sent you...I bought the baader skysurfer and it came with load of attachments for fitting to various scopes. Like a dunce I only kept the one for the skywatcher, so if we understand each other this will fit onto the C8, yes ?
