If its anything like my C8 then it has a focal length of F10 which means it is better at planetery than dso.

Its not that its no good on dso but a shorter focal length would give a better "wide" view (thats why i piggyback a William optics ZS66)

If you get a focal reducer this will reduce the problem though.

Also if your planning on imaging dso's a shorter focal length will enable you to use shorter exposure times in comparison to the longer ones
