Nikon D40X & Sky-Watcher Evostar-120 (EQ3-2) Achromatic Refractor Telesc Focus Issues

Recommended Posts

I own a Skywatcher Evostar 120 teleshope and have recently boat all the equipment to attach my Nikon D40X camera to it ie T-Ring plus adapter. However I am having trouble focusing. All the images so far are white blurs of the moon.

Has anybody successfully managed to photograph the moon with a D40X/telescope combo? and if so how did you manage with focus?

I'm new to this and would love to get some cool pictures.

Any advice/pointers greatfully apprecaited.

Think that you will need extension tubes.

I guess that you have removed the diagonal.

To compensate for the removal of this you need extra distance, hence the extension tubes. The diagonal is a fair length and it is at what would be the end of the diagonal where the camera should be.

Ask at wherever you bought the T-Adaptor for a corresponding extension piece.
