  1. Are there any "only flattener (not reducer)" that can be used with WO GT81? I want to use the focal length 478mm for the scope , not the reduced 382mm with their dedicated reducer flattener Flat 6AIII. I have come across these two followings. Can those be used with the scope?

    1. Ho Tech SCA  Field Flattener 2"

    2. TSFLAT 2  Universal flattener

If those can be used, how about the backfocus? Will I need any extension ring? Have anyone used this ?
    Please help.

  2. one of my friends is a little bit confused in between these scopes -

    1.  TS-Optics PHOTOLINE 80mm f/6 FPL53 Triplet APO - 480 mm

    2. TS-Optics CF-APO 90 mm f/6 FPL55 Triplet APO Refractor - 540 mm

which will be better for imaging ? not for visual.

Which glass is better for imaging , FPL 53 or FPL 55 ? Have anyone used either of the scopes? what is the performance of each of them?

    Please suggest.

  3. I have a redcat 51 which is my travel scope. Now i want a refractor triplet in a range 70-80mm. But i don't want to loose the focal length by using reducer [removed word] flattener. In india not many  branded scopes are available. I have to choose in between WO / TS Photoline / Explore Scientific /Sky watcher  . WO triplet scopes have problem that they use their own reducer [removed word] flattener in GT series. So the focal length will be decreased, which I don't want. Please advise.

  4. hi folks,

Currently I am using a Redcat 51 and an ES ED 127 mm APO Triplet. Now I want a focal length in between. I am thinking of WO GT 71, which is currently in my budget. I have an iOptron SGP and A Bresser EQ5 GOTO.Currently i am using a Sony a6400 and an ASI 533 is on the way. So,

    1. is there any Flattener only (not reducer), that can be used with GT 71 ?

    2. Can i use iOptron SGP as my travel rig with GT71 ?

    3. are there any other scopes in this price range og GT71 ? please tell me so that I can think of that.

4, How about those built in flattener scopes?

  6. Hi,
I am Mainak from Kolkata, India. I am doing Astrophotography from 2019.
I have an ES ED 127 mm scope and a Redcat 51 for Astrophotographic purpose. Also I have an ES 12 inch Truss Tube Dobsonian for visual use. I live in a Bortle 3 zone. So Astronomy & Photography is a very good option here.
Great to be here with all of u to learn more and more about Astronomy & Astrophotography . Thanks to all.
