  1. I've tried the LX mode check box but that forces the slider into a maximum position and doesn't allow it to be moved.  I think the webcam needs to be modified for LX mode and mine isn't.  I'll have a look for driver updates now.  Thank you.

  2. Hello there,

I've been out of the game for quite a while now due to studying and a career change.  I've recently been getting my scope out and have found that I am having to relearn everything because it's been so long.

Anyway, I've set up my SPC900N webcam with sharpcap v3.2 and have noticed that I have discrete exposure settings which are .0610 ms, 0.122 ms, 0.244 ms, 0.488 ms, 0.977 ms, 1.95 ms, 3.91 ms, 7.81 ms, 15.6 ms, 31.3 ms and 62.5 ms.  Is this normal?  It would be nice to have a bit more control over the exposure so if anyone could tell me about a setting that I've missed somewhere to allow gradual exposure changes that would be great.  Thank you.

    Regards

  3. So, having recently sold my flat in the city and moving to darker skies in the peak district, I had some money left over from the sale which was begging to be used on an upgrade.

For some time I have wanted to upgrade to a celestron C11. I was originally going to purchase one from another supplier but after recieving no call back on a price despite leaving numerous messages, I decided to take my business elsewhere.

After doing a quick price comparrison on google I came across 365 astronomy. I telephone them, who to my delight, answered the phone straightaway. I had a great conversation with the owner, Zoltan, who was very helpful and accomodating. Zolton took my order and also agreed to fit the extra dovetail I purchased free of charge.

It was an absolute pleasure dealing with 365 astronomy and I will definately be using them again. Oh, and as a bonus, my C11 arrived the very next day! How's that for a speedy service?!

  4. I've ordered a few small items from FLO in the past and never had any problems. So, having recently sold my flat in the city and moving to darker skies in the peak district, I had some money left over from the sale which was begging to be used on an upgrade.

For some time I have wanted to upgrade to a celestron C11. I had checked out the prices on their website some time ago but more recently had noticed that you now need to call for a quote. I called FLO on three ocassions, each time leaving a message on their answer phone. I left my name, telephone number and a brief message outlining that I would like a price on the C11. After a week of waiting I decided to take my business elsewhere. After contacting another supplier I received my C11 the following day.

I would have liked to have given my business to FLO but they missed out on my custom because of a simple lack of comunication. I'm no businessman but I would have thought that any communication that could lead to a possible sale should always be followed up. It's a good job Alan Sugar isn't a partner otherwise you know what he would say!

Anyway, I'm still waiting for my call back two and a half weeks on. So if anyone from FLO reads this then don't worry about contacting me now. I'm already sorted.
