  1. I thought this cuts out the need to do a three star sky align. £200 for a device that just adds the date and time to my telescope - not worth it. Is there an accessory that allows me not to have to do sky align? Or is there a way to get the scope to start tracking immediately with this device, (which is why I bought it)?

  2. I have a Celestron 6SE and saw mars for the first time last night. Like all the planets its a blurry blob in the 2.5mm eyepiece. I guess this is due to atmospheric haze but I'm not sure. Maybe the setup is still not quite there. Aligning the primary mirror has been a ongoing series of trial and errors. I feel that all scopes should have a simple and convenient way of precisely collimating without having to use a false star and looking concentric rings, better still an automatic mirror alignment system. Still, even if I keep fussing and continue tweaking the mirror, I think that's as good as it'll get with this type of scope. Seeing details on the moon and blurry planets is still cool but galaxies and nebulas?

  3. Greetings, I'm using OA capture with the Celestron Neximage camera and can only see a B&W image. Is it possible to load a colour profile or can I only expect a mono image. I've been into the settings but no luck. I really think Celestron should have Mac functionality. Since this is not the case, are there any other telescope imagers which are Mac friendly and produce a usable colour image? Many thanks.
