Celestron starsense explorer

Hi , i have just bought a Celestron Explorer LT 80, it came with the Starsense Explorer app which I can't get to align my iphone. I go thru the procedure on the iphone and all goes well until the '' drag image to align crosshairs with eyepiece view'' at this point all that is visible is the crosshairs on a black screen! no image! any ideas please thanks Bob
