  2. I practice EEA with the 130PDS & a cooled ASI 183MM camera. Review of some images of the last month.

    Acquisition: Sharpcap

    Alignement: Sharpcap or APP

    Image processing: Pixinsight

IC5146: Halpha (20x30s) + CLSCCD (Luminance) (20x15s) = 900s, Alignement with APP & finishing with Pixinsight (I am a noob with this soft)

  3. Hello  James,

thank you for your answer,  It could not possible to install raw19 & raw20 in the same time.

If I want to install raw19, a lot of libraries (some indi) are uninstalled. I will not do that, I have

not the level to build it again. So I will wait.

If you have any informations and/or answers about this issue, could you inform me in this topic.

    Many thanks,

    Kaelig

  4. Hello James,

    I have download oacapture_1.8.0-1_armhf.deb

I have placed it in /usr/share/repertory

    I have made: sudo dpkg -i oacapture_1.8.0-1_armhf.deb

    I have installed all the dependencies: libhidapi-libusb0, libqt4-network, libqtcore4, libqtgui4 without problems

But I have one with libraw19 ... it block the installation, but libraw20 is yet installed on the SM (1.5.6)

If I want to replace libraw by the 19 version, the soft installation request to remove all indi libs. So I have

stopped the try. Could you give me some advices for this issue?

    the message are:

  5. Hi Bob,

Thank you for your answer. Due the important budget, hence the result is important. I could not buy a camera in the mode see & wait.

The bundle Atik camera and its software is very efficient. Due to the limits of the AZ goto mount, I have bought an equatorial one (EQM-35).

I have also installed a bundle Raspberry 4 with Stellarmate in order to drive the mount & make live plate solving. So my setup changes offer

me new opportunities with better goto accuracy (EQM35), position correction (Ekos) & shoot time.

I see two ways, ATIK or ZWO:

ATIK is the simplier way, I have one, I buy a second one.

ZWO is the more active in this moment, its new products are better. In France, a lot of people buy ZWO products.

but perhaps it is not the good way ... what are you thinking about that?

  6. Hello Everybody,

Here in little britain, it's cloudy. I want to have some advices for my camera change (next year).

I have an Atik infinity colour for Visual Assisted: short time exposure, no post-treatment, ...

I want an another camera in order to increase the resolution & gets more beautiful colour image of the deep sky.

There are so many cameras & so many manufacturers, that I do not know what I could choose.

What are your advices? thanks for your help (of course with a 130PDS)

  7. Hello, everybody,

I have an Atik Infinity color and I very satisfied of this product. In order to complete my setup, I would buy an Atik Base for driving my setup with Stellarmate & power the different elements.

    I don't find the informations I need:

    - how you could attach the Atik base to your setup?

    - Is is raspberry 3 or 4 embedded in the box?

    - What are the current abilities of the three 12V outputs?

    &

    - What are the differences between the Stellarmate of Jasem & the Stellarmate of Atik.

I look for these informations on the Atik web site: no screenshot, no documents & no videos. I have sent an email to their support with these request but

for the moment, I have receive any answers. Do someone use this Atik Base & could share its experience & the informations about this product with

us. Thank you for the help.

  8. I have a question about filters use for nebula & galaxy observations with a camera.

I have mount an optic train: coma corrector baader Mpcc + extensions T2 + Atik Infinity color camera with UV/IR cut filter.

The backfocus (distance between the corrector and the camera sensor is 57,5mm in theory).

I will want to add 2" filter front of the coma corrector in order to improve the contrast and the photo result.

I have two filters: IDAS LPS P2 filter & Baader Neodynium

With your experiences, are they sufficient with the 130PDS tube?

In your opinion, what is the best for:

    - galaxy

    - nebula

Thank your for your feedbacks about your experience with 130PDS

  9. Many thanks for your clear answer, the weather is very cloudy since a month, but I work (in theory) on the subject.

    I will test:

    - baader neodynium

    - IDAS LPS P2

and a test with a complementary filter

UV/IR cut TS filter + IDAS LPS P2 ~ IDAS LPS D1 (no available, they have stopped the production)

For the moment, I wait some deliveries & clear skies in order to test (following your advices) :D

  10. that's beautiful, I have IDAS P2, UHC Lumicon, Baader Neodymium filters with 130PDS (my new tube).
Due to the cloudy weather, I could not make test. Could you give some feedbacks about how you use them.

What filter for what use or what is the best compromise use. Thank you for your feedbacks.

  11. @Jamgood I have a beginner question, in my setup, I have a Canon 600D & a baader MPCC3 (buy with 130PDS, but I have not use). I want to know, your setup  between the coma corrector & your Canon, I need to buy the elements between us, and I want to be sure it sucess. Thank you for your help.

Your images are amazing, congratulations 😀

  12. Thank you for your answers. I am lucky, two french people who answer me.

So for the mount, I will for SW EQM-35 mount. I know, it is more recommended HEQ5, but the light weight is a criteria for me. I do not want to do astrophotography,

but I want to do Visual Assisted (so short time exposure < 10mn). It seems, we could obtain 30 mn with EQM35, so it could be sufficient for me.

I understand than CLS is better than Neodymium. The light change with LED is the bad way for us.

    Have a good sky.

Here is the original photo of M57 (without crop), I like this color circle in the deep:

    Save as seen - 5s x 80 = 400s - Atik Inifinity soft
