Completely new here, I am having a heck of a time understand the V rails. The rail that came with my Sky-watcher eq-35 pro has a decent indent in it not allowing my 70-200 to sit flat in there/screw in. So I have have resorted to utilizing a Arca swiss clamp in the center of the rail with a pre-existing screw hole, works well to hold my lens/DSLR however I am trying to expand now and run a zwo guide scope as well.
I have been looking at a few side by side mounts such as ADM - VSBS-XS-7 – V Series Side-By-Side System. Extra Small Version however I am not sure how this would correctly attach to the green dovetail that came with my mount here? Any input or advise would be greatly appreciated. For now I plan on trying to run my L bracket and attach the zwo scope to that utilizing another arca swiss clamp. Have to run to the store to grab another 1/4 1" screw to make this happen, I just really feel there must be a nicer way to go about this since I am not a fan of how the current arca clamp is mounted to the dovetail.
also this might be silly but the dovetail is vertical at 90 degrees and horizontal at 0 degrees on the declination, does it matter if that dove tail is vertical or horizontal to start? or only matters that the gear is balanced? I guess I am notsure if the software will know it is at 0 once you type in a star/location?
