  1. Hi, I've been considering getting at a Skywatcher 114/1000 catadioptric newtonian reflector on ebay at a pretty low price. I was wondering if it could be used for astrophotography with a dslr? I know some similar scopes can't, at least by default. I've heard that for similar scopes modifications can be made to achieve 'prime focus', or a barlow can be used too. I'd be happy to try to modify it, if that's what would be necessary to make it work. I'd also be fine trying a barlow, even if it'd reduce the f stop- in which case, what would be the minimum magnification barlow I could use? I've heard low-profile focusers could work for certain telescopes, but I think they're a little too expensive. Would it work by default, if not would it work with one of these? Thanks a lot. EDIT: according to some reading up it may not be the best choice of telescope in any case. Thanks for any attention, sorry but I am unable to delete this post.
