  1. The clouds made a surprise disappearance last night, so I pointed my camera straight upwards and came up with this. Fuji X-T30 with 18-55mm kit lens, @55mm f/4, Star Adventurer Lights: 72 x 40 seconds Darks: 20 Bias: 20 Flats: 20 Astro Pixel Processor, and tweaked in Photoshop.
  2. Thanks all. There's a lot to learn, most of which is patience at the moment, waiting for the clouds to go
  3. Since I picked up my Star Adventurer, I've only had a few nights to practice. I've just really been trying to get the setup working, polar alignment sorted etc. Last night I looked at a group of pics I took a the back of my garden last month, played around with them, and got this. I'm new at astrophotography and honestly never thought I'd be able to get anything like this. (Fuji X-T30, 24 x 60s lights, ISO 800, 18-55mm lens @ 55mm, f5)

Thank you for the welcomes I've just had a quick hour or so playing with the star adventurer before the clouds came in. Set everything up as I have read, did all of the tweaks, took some test shots and wondered why I was still getting quite serious trails (using a 200mm lens, at 2 minutes, just to see what happens). Then I realised that I had done everything except turn it on. I have a long road ahead of me...

Thanks guys. I'm currently reading through the star adventurer pics thread. I can't believe the amount of useful info I'm picking up here, looks like a great forum.

HI all. Long time photographer and admirer of the night skies, so I thought it'd be a good idea to put them together (can't believe it's taken me this long to work that one out). I tried a few pics just with my standard kit, liked what I saw, so have now picked up a star adventurer to see what happens. Of course, since I bought the star adventurer, it's been cloudy every night...:)
