Looking into a seperate dslr camera for astrophotography and was wondering about the CANON EOS 4000D DSLR Camera, as it's in a decent price range to begin with, and also does it take well to the Astronomik H-Alpha 12nm CCD EOS Clip Filter?

I use a nikon d5300 for nomral photography.

Thankyou for the advice and insight, with the advice i've recieved going for the 150pds and get the coma corrector at the same time. Then look into upgrading mount/tripod ina bout 6 months.

I am looking to buy another scope for deepspace/astrophotography and was wondering between the skywatchers explorer 200pds and the 250 pds, i have the heq5 pro mount and evostar 120 at the moment. These are the two scopes in my price range and was condering could i get some adive on which really to go for.

Any other ideas on tripods that i can use which are not as heavy as the heq5 pro one, more in line with poratability?

Thinking about buying a Skywatcher Star Adventurer Pro Pack to use with my nikon d5300 and was wondering can some one suggest a few tripods i can look at that support this wieght/payload.

Unless i can use my heq5 pro tripod for it?

Was wondering has anyone got any tips or recommendations for cases sort of thing to safely store eyepieces and filters?

A tip i found too was those struggling to find a red headlamp/torch cut the end bit off a red ballon and strecth it over the light, works a treat.

A question about tools for maintenance a normmal standard hex/allen key and precision screwdriver set, any thing i may need tp start?

I will be using an evostar 120 and a nikon d5300, and will be purchasing a dual speed crayford to use with it. bortle scale of 6 according to the clear outside app.

Another question for this awesome community. Having recently ordered a skywatcher evostar 120 ota, was wondering which size/type of focaul reducer would people recommend? And also what size eyepieces would people recommend besides the standard ones that come with the evostar 120? thankyou for your time.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the advice and help you as a community have given me a newbie to this field.  Ordered the evostar120 after reading through all the advice. I thought go with a gd not too expensive scope to start learning with and getting used to the technical side. I am new to astrophotography and bought an heq5 pro mount/tripod(goto) and was wondering what size phto dovetail would i need for the lsigma 150-600mm lens would i need to be sure it is secure on the tripod? sry for the newb question. Any help/advice would be appreciated.  Thank you for your time.
