Hi all!

Here are my first DSO's, figure I got to show them somewhere, finally All images are taken with a Canon 1100D (unmodded), Celestron Omni XLT 150 scope on a CG4 mount. Stacked in DSS and processed in Photoshop. No further optics were used and everything is unguided. Even though these are my first attempts, criticism are more than welcome!

If these are your first... I am giving up NOW! Anyone want some imaging kit?

Here another attempt from the same night of M13 above...this was a bit more difficult, there are not many details on M81 but it's possible to see NGC3077 and some colours...these are 20 subs 15 sec at ISO1250 plus 5 darks, SkyWatcher ST 102mm (500 f/5) with SW LPF and Nikon D80, not guided, stacked in Nebulosity and worked then in Photoshop.

Suggestions accepted, I want to do better next time!

Really nice for such short exposures and unguided. My only suggestion would be to get more data if you can. Not easy to do without an EQ mount though.

Not quite sure what you mean...

As long as you have lat & long set correctly all should be fine.

The only other thing I can think of is to show the Cardinal Points in Stellarium. Once you have aligned the scope it should all match up pretty well.

Everything useful I have learned so far about astronomy I have learned here. All members are polite, helpful, knowledgeable and at times hysterically funny. While my other half spends her evenings trawling around Facebook and playing Farm-ville (yawn) I can, and do, spend hours sifting through the mountains of useful info here.

Keep up the great work one and all and thanks to everyone who has helped and encouraged me so far.
