The filter worked a treat guys i could see the moon without any issue and it does bring defination out i tried it on jupiter and it was nice on that too bringing out the clouds Ps anyone find the weather weird? Teleacop was soaking wet last night and even tho its summer nights have been cold for me and not to dark.

  5. And we going back to the moon i will be taking a week off for that and following every step of it lol
  6. I think im light sensitive looking at the light of the moon can be really harsh at times.

  9. Hey guys, whats a good moongfilter are they all the same? On amazon theres a 8 and 12 pound one will any kind do the job? I know some are 13% and more etc but i dont really know how high a percentage is needed lol

  11. Focusing on stars it ran out of outward travel i then tried my 2 inch extension tube that came with my celesteon 150 and it then ran out of inward motion.. which confused me and the one i bought didnt fit, any suggested alternatives would be welcome

Hey guys my friends considering joining the comminity hes considering getting this https://www.firstlightoptics.com/beginner-telescopes/skywatcher-skyliner-200p-dobsonian.html Would this be a good buy hes eager for it to be a dobsonian and this looks a lot cheaper than the orion xt8 and other competitors.

  15. Hello everyone, im currently having trouble focusing my xt8 classic dob, it wont focus with 2 inch eye pieces, what will i need to buy to get it to focus? I tried my celesteon omni xlt 150 extender adapter on it but wouldn't focus, any suggestions? It is a crayford tocuser on this xt8.

  17. Hey all, just wondering if you all can tell me visibly easy to find good targets to observe this month? Im currently thinking globuler clusters since im told they are easier to find in comparison to galaxies but like to know what you all think.
  18. I used the telescope last night and i saw m13 fine the difference between an 8inch and a 6 inch aptiture is huge.. far better than my celesteon 150 for detail I think il just leave it the way it is seems to work fine all this is to complicated for me tbh 😂 Thanks everyone

  21. Update looks like some guy from the swansea astronomy centre will pop down within 2 weeks to look at it, hes owned a newtonian he thinks he can do it.. he said it should take 10 minutes. I rather not touch this secondary anymore i feel im making it worse Not sure about the vanes nervous to tamper with it now
