Excellent presentations so far on StarGaZine that brings this already great Forum to life.  Many thanks to SGL/FLO and especially Steve & Nik - my only disappointment (as an ex drummer) was that after last week's bagpipes, there was no drumming by Nik this week 🥁!

See you all again next week + thanks again.

Haarrr! I was sitting about 2ft away from my electronic drum kit last night during the talk so could have easily jumped on it!

  2. It's a remarkably good package and for the current price is the deal of the century! 😮  A lot of people don't like the monthly subscription to Photoshop so Affinity offers a great alternative to that.

I suspect that will continue to improve in the future as they seem to be receptive to users' input. The RGB combination methodology is, well....testing, but does the job once you understand the procedure.

    Cheers,

  3. Hi. I know this is an old thread but if anyone is having problems setting up Gradient Xterminator in the latest version of Adobe Photoshop CC (2020), here's how it's done.

Make sure you have the 64-bit version of GradX (GradientXterminator64.8bf) and copy into this location:

    Program Files > Adobe > Adobe Photoshop 2020  >Required > Plug-ins > Filters

Start Photoshop and you'll see the GradX plug-in in the 'Filter' drop=list (RC-Astro). When you start it for the first time, you'll have to put in your original GradX password.

Definitely worth doing as Gradient Xterminator is still one of the best light pollution removal tools around.

    Cheers,

    Nik

  4. Hi,

I'm running Gradient Xterminator on my Windows 7 pc with Adobe Photoshop CC.

Once you've unpacked the .8bf plug-in file, copy it into the clipboard and then go to:

Program Files > Adobe > Adobe Photoshop CC 2015 > Required > Plug Ins > Filters

and paste the GradientXterminator64.8bf file there. From memory, you'll have to key in your e-mail address and password to unlock GX.

I tried installing GX on my new Win 10 laptop but it requires a $19.95 purchase to work.

    Hope this help.

    Nik
