I've not posted anything on here for a looong time now but I had a crack at capturing todays event during a gap in the clouds. I've not had a lit of time to play with this but its a near 100% crop taken with a Fuji Xt3 and xc 70-230 lens hand held

Ooohhh. That's nice, very very nice. I keep looking at the Lunt scopes but can't really justify the cost to myself (read the wife would kill me if I took the plunge). Maybe one day but for now this is my humble collection. 

May I be so bold as to submit this fine offering? I'm sure you'll all agree it's a stunning example showing M13 in all its glory taken with an iPhone se hand held at the eyepiece. With perfection such as this you have to wonder why anyone would go to the time and expense of the space based observatories (does anyone honestly believe the James Webb Space Telescope will be able to do any better?)

This seems to be my current set up. When the little chap gets unsettled and starts screaming in the night we go for a wander to give my better half some peace and I get chance for a crafty gander at the sky   . For those that are interested the kit list is as follows, 10x50 Hawke nature watch bins, Jané trider "kit wagon", small well insulated child and of course can of cider just in case .
