Thanks, I never had any problems with my old telescope and flattener which was not threaded.  I was looking for a threaded flattener to connect up to this scope but it does no exist.

I have an AstroTech AT115 refractor with Field Flattener/Focal Reducer combo and love it.  It is threaded at the top so it can be screwed into the rotator.  I wanted to get a plain Field Flattener for galaxy season, however, there is not one with threads like the FF/FR combo that came with the scope so I have to use one that slides into focuser and uses the compression screw to hold it and the camera and such. 

I would like to add some extra security to ensure this connection does not fail and was wondering if anyone has ideas.  I was thinking of rubber straps as a precaution.

Thanks Dan.  You don't have to send a pic,  you have more room between the scope and the dovetail for the bolt than I do.  I can put a spacer or something.  Thanks again Kurt

That is what it says but I might just go ahead and get the StarTech USB Hub like you have any way because I like how the come out the top. Evans from Pegasus said he uses the StarTech Hub as well.

Great setup!  I might try to do something like this. It looks like 0.25 (6 mm) inch aluminum plate was used.  How did you mount it to the dovetail bar?  Did you put threads into it and screw it in from the top?

I just purchased a Pegasus Pocket Powerbox (PPB) at NEAF and am finally connecting it up.  Everything seems to work, however, I would like to connect the power cable for my Plugable USB3 Hub into the PPB and the supplied cable from Pegasus does not fit the USB power connection.  The metal spike from the USB power input is wider than the hole on the cable connection.  I like the Plugable brand but am wondering if another brand USB Hub would work?  I have attached a picture.  Thanks.
