Greetings:
I have enjoyed looking at your power system. I am in the process of building one myself... we are not sure if we will use wood, metal or thick plexiglass for the cabinet. It will contain 1 12V 20A SLA battery with the room to add a second battery, and we will have digital volt and amp meters on the face plate. This is the part of astronomy I enjoy the most, Engineering and fabricating things that I can use for my hobbies. Nice looking GEL cell there. I considered them but the investment would be much greater. We also have a large Nickel Metal Hydride system, 13VDC at 14 Amps that we are building for lighting and some accessories. Thanks for posting your project.
