Setting up and adjusting my EQ5 Pro today I noticed that a certain combination of Dec / RA positioning might be problematic, where the Dec Motor Casing can collide with the Dec Out / RA In Cables:
Does the Goto already recognise this position and limit automatic slewing from causing damage?, same question for manual slewing or EQMOD control from Stellarium / Cartes Du Ciel?
Or do I have to somehow enter limits to stop this collision from potentially happening?
(On my Handset / Firmware version question I'm still waiting on a response from OVL)
Thanks for any help offered.

Hi All,
I've just bought a new EQ5 Pro from FLO.
I wanted to check I had the latest firmware installed, however I'm a little confused over hardware & firmware versions.
I see references to V4/V5 handsets on the Sky-Watcher site, but my handset seems to be reporting itself as a 6.00 for both Hardware & Firmware?
Alan.

Some amazing images here!
That said, pretty happy with my very modest image of Jupiter, my 2nd ever attempt at imaging, unfortunately the iEXOS-100 was faulty, and would neither track nor slew properly (Motors would literally freeze dead with a grindy noise)
Therefore the image is unguided/tracked, and produced by capturing 3 x 3000 frames by aiming the scope with Jupiter in lower left quadrant of the sensor, letting it drit then realiigning 3 times.
Preprocessed in PIPP, Stacked best 40% of 9000 in Autostackert, then sharpened with Wavelets in Registax.
Mount is being replaced with a brand new EQ5 Pro from FLO, at least with that mount I can maybe go for a 127mm SkyMax M-C or an Evostar 72mm Apo down the line.

Santa brought me some upgrades for my Skymax 127 Mak
Baader Skysurfer III RDF & A do-it-yourself Autofocuser upgrade kit (Skywatcher Autofocuser, Mini Dovetail, L-Bracket, GT2 Pulleys & Belt)
Using a 60 Tooth pulley on the Skymax, and 20 Tooth pulley on the Focus motor, for a 3:1 ratio, makes for a slower focus, but dialled down to the slowest speed allows for a super fine focus adjustment, will give it a few test runs at this ratio and if it works I may add the HiTecAstro unit to change focus straight from my PC!
