I've read conflicting stories about lazy Susans, but will probably try a few different ideas until I come accross the one that suits,
Thanks for the reply

Hi All
I was looking at doing something with my Bresser dob base, I'm thinking of getting 2 embroidery rings from my local Hobby shop, they're not expensive , I would be getting 1 slightly smaller than the first, then fasten them to the base , then get some ball bearings of the correct size, put them between the embroidery rings, then put it all back together,
Does anyone have an opinion or do you think it wouldn't work?

They are brilliant, i've had one for about 15yrs, the mount has been left out in all weathers, I just give it lick of metal paint every couple of years, I have mine rotating, I used a couple of embroidery hoops fixed to the tube in front of the scope rings and a couple behind the back ring, I leave the rings quite loose and hey presto, no more visits to the physio for a twisted neck !, seriously though, great find. I had a download address for the manual but I can't remember it, if I do I'll post it on here for you.

Hi All
I just got some felt underlay and cut it into small squares, (it doesn't have to line the whole ring), stuck it down with strong double sided sticky tape and you get enough to last a life time works a treat.

I tried bolting straight on but, where the securing bolts on the Bresser rings fit, the shoulders (can't think of another description) are too thick and the bolt won't line up, I could cut a small piece off each end of the mount but, it's survived probably half a century and I don't want to mark it .
I'll look at your suggestions though,
Thanks again

Hi Everyone
I hope you are well,
My question if anyone can help is,
I have a 1970s Fullerscope 8.5 inch on a mkIII mount, (very heavy but brilliant), I would like to use my 10 inch Bresser dob on the mount, could you please advise what type of Dovetail adaptor I would need, I don't want to modify the mounts structure, obviously I will be using the 10 inch rings, the reason I want to try this,
is because I can use 2" eyepieces
Thank you in advance.
Mark
