hi I have a similar issues (no detail) BUT I cannot work out how to remove the ITF filter from the diagonal? Does the silver "neck" tube unscrew because if it does I cannot do it by hand and am wary of using a tool to do so. Please advise?
Also having looked at this in more detail, has anyone posted a picture of an ITF filter that is not rusted? Mine looks super shiney and silver from the outside, and from the inside it is also super shiny and silver ish, but with a slight orange tint barely noticable around the outside edge. I have only ever used it 3 or 4 times over the few years I've had it so I am starting to think that it is not rusted, and the problem might be with my etalon?
