    Is there any way to control nexstar slt without the remote? Now I do not have a remote and the ability to buy it separately. Perhaps there is a way to control this mount without the remote control? I heard something about the rs 232 cable.

    So that it would at least somehow work, because the head is without a tripod, and buying the tripod separately is a problem.

    Now I have a 80gtl, but not with me. And in my city there is a slt mount head for sale, but without a tripod. It would be nice if the head fit for gtl even if the tripod is built for a lighter scope than the slt. Thank you in advance.
