I remember years ago I first got into using telescopes and astronomy and my mother really enjoyed going out on our farm with me and looking for objects. We always tried to visually see the owl nebula, but never could find it. The first time I imaged it, I thought of my mother rest her soul. Your M97 image looks great!!

ASCOM guiding. I have never tried ST4 guiding before. I guess my USB cables running between ASI Air and my EQ6R and also my guide camera could be bad. I bet you are right and there was a cable issue. It sure seems like one. I probably should switch those. Thanks for letting me know. GM

Last night when I tried to calibrate near the intersection of the celestial meridian and celestial equator, I kept getting this weird graph. I eventually just calibrated on my target M81 and doing that I got the usual graph with the 90 degree intersection. Anyone know what would cause the weird graph in this photo I have included? Thanks! GM
