Just joined the club last week. This is a significant upgrade from my EQM-35 in every way possible, especially guiding accuracy. I was able to use the EQ6-R for three nights after taking delivery, before the clouds rolled in. Seldom was I able to get under 1" RMS on the EQM-35. The EQ6-R is consistently staying in the 0.3"-0.6" range. I should've gone with this mount from the start. I'm loving it so far!

Sorry to hear this.
My experience with this mount wasn't good, imho the minimum required mount for AP is the HEQ5, the 35 looks good on paper, but it isn't sadly.
Thank you. Two things ended up happening: 1) I reached out to Sky-Watcher support so I'll be getting a replacement motor from them. 2) Someone alerted me about FLO having the EQ6-R in stock, which I'd been wanting to upgrade to either way, so I bought it, especially being on backorder in the US until around June and it's been marked up from US$1675 to US$2025! Still managed to get it cheaper from FLO even with int'l shipping cost.

I started doing astrophotography last year, and this is my first mount. In March, SW had to send me a replacement control box, and just last night, the RA motor broke, so I've opened my second support ticket with SW. With the pandemic affecting global supply, I'm not expecting to be back up and running any time soon.

Sky-Watcher Price Increases
in Sponsor Announcements and Offers

Looks like prices have increased another 21% for Sky-Watcher products in the US in 2022. Two weeks ago, I ordered an EQ6-R Pro from FLO and I paid less (including shipping) than what it's going for now in the States. It went up from US$1675 to $2025, or £1233 to £1491 as of this comment.
