Manning - check the 880 driver on the morgan site - you need that installed and remember to have an app running your cam when you run WcRmac - otherwise it just hangs....
I tried the 880 driver from morgans (its just a .inf file), but windows 7 will not recognise it even when I point it at them when it asks to search for them manually.
I cant have an app running the cam because the cam isn't recognised (as stated above), I plug it in and it tried to find the drivers on its own and fails, and its just stated as an unregognised usb device in device manager.
StevieDvd: I have Windows 7 home premium.
I'll try a pre-flashed cam from Morgans, and if I eventually get my current one flashed, I can always sell it on.

I think i've misuderstood all this as a solution to get the webcam to work at all. I'm trying to install drivers on Windows 7, right now the camera will not work at all since win 7 wont find any drivers for it not even when I point it at them in a folder (880 or 900 drivers).
I got the Philips SPC880 from Morgan.
I may luck out if my brother still has an XP machine, otherwise i'm screwed.
Edit: Has anyone used the additional option to have the camera flashed by Morgan https://morgancomputers.co.uk/Shop/detail.asp?ProductID=6407&CategoryID=556&SubCategoryID= i'd glady pay for the camera again and their service to flash it for me instead of going through loads of hassle myself.

I moved the 900NC.bin files into Wrmac/Binaries/8116 but nothing shows up on WcRmac when I try to continue.
Its probably because for some reason the 900NC.bin is showing as a "VLC media file (.bin)" lord knows why.
How the heck do I fix that?
Me and machines..urgh.

What is wrmac, and where do I find it please?

I dauntlessly ran into the Win 7 problem.
Got 880NC cam from Morgans, and cant install the 880NC drivers on my laptop (or any other pc in the house for that matter)
Has anyone confirmed the 900NC drivers work right off the bat on win 7 and all the bells and whistles are working with the cam for astronomy use, if win 7 is pointed to the drivers as stated?
Philips SPC880NC is now.......

Ok an update, the new pre-flashed SPC 900 came today and it seems to be working, I did all the WcRmac stuff with no problem (just to make sure), installed the SPC 900 drivers on my laptop, plugged the cam in and pc found and installed it right away.
Now I just need to know how to tweak stuff. The cam appears in the 'Sound, Video and games' tab of the device manager and i've clicked on its properties but cant find anything where I can tweak the cam settings.
Is there another program I need to do this?
(the cam does work, as I can use it on the crappy free cam software I got with the laptop)
