  1. I look at my copy every time i go to my daughters, its been there about a month now and i can`t read it because its all wrapped up in crimbo paper .Roll on the 25th,can`t wait.
  2. I got my telrad from the states erlier this year when they were almost impossible to source in the uk. If i remember it still worked out a bit cheaper with postage being around £12.00.
  3. The latest news i have from heaton park is that from now on the meetings will be monthly instead of weekly, starting on the last thursday in november 24/11/2011.That means only five meets this season in place of the usual twenty:(.
  4. Hello,Hinch, keep checking the website, hope to see you there soon:icon_pirat:
  5. Hello si,i have just had a email from the club saying check before going, somthings going on with the hire of the bowling pavillion so its not definate it will be the first thursday. It says to check the Heaton park website and click on whats going on for information. If they send me anymore news i will post it on the forum.
  6. Just bought one last week from FLO,it came the next day and has transformed my scope,200P DOB.No more back or neck ache and everything the right way up.I use it alongside my telrad, highly recommended.
  7. I used the Right Angle Finder i got from FLO for the first time tonight and it transformed the scope (SW 200 DOB) from a instrament of torture to a real plesure to use.One hundred times better to use.I also made a small round table on 300mill legs so i dont have to stoop to low all the time.
  8. Same here, could see the summer triangle but everything else was washed out .Stayed out for a hour and then jacked it in.
  9. 56,have been sky watching for ten years. The reason there is no realy old astronomers on the forum could be like the film COCOON.
  10. Thanks for the reply NGC,the plastic lugs:eek: i am on about are the teflon ones in your reply. Can you tell me what your central bearing around the washer is made from?, thanks for your help,
  11. Can anyone tell me if the three plastic lugs that are fitted between the base boards on my sw dob.should be removed?.By leaving these studs on dont they make the teflon washer redundant?Cheers,
  12. Hiya dknt,welcome .
  13. Hiya, just a nod to FLO,i orderd a 200p dob from them yesterday at 3.10 pm and it landed on my doorstep at 1.15 pm today .HOW GOOD IS THAT:).Anyway, all set up now and hoping for clear skies, cheers, the .
