Jupiter 2015 04 21 - Partial occultation of Io by Ganymede. Animation sequence - 2129UT - 2150UT

Eris

Jupiter imaged with an ASI120mm camera and an Baader IR pass filter (685nm). This is a reprocessed version of an animation I uploaded a few weeks ago. This includes the date and time stamps as well as further processing on Jupiter itself.
Io appears from Jupiters shadow a few minutes before being partially occulted by Ganymede.

It does appear that Io passes on front of Ganymede but I suspect this is due to the contrast difference between the two when using an IR filter and Io appearing the brighter of the two moons. Processing and sharpening the images has probably contributed to this effect.
