We're having a Public Star Party on October 22, but this one on the 15th is a special event for school pupils (and acompanying parents).
The idea is to have a stargazing event which won't be dominated by adults. We have chosen a date when you will be able to see the craters of the Moon, and the moons of Jupiter.
Jupiter rises at 6:40pm, and the Moon rises at 7:30.
It's FREE, so come along and bring your own scope if you want to. There will be refreshments and space items for sale, and a talk about astronomy - all indoors, so there will be things to do whatever the weather.
It all takes place at the site of our observatory at the Standalone Farm Centre, Wilbury Road, SG6 4JN
