A cold night, but there are clouds in the East and North. Seen through the 10x, the stars that surround Deneb (α Cyg) appear to form the shape of a heart. With the naked
eye, I was able to at last make out Cepheus and portions of Aquarius.
Cr399 (As/Sge) -
IC 4665 (OC/Oph) Summer Beehive Cluster (in 10x only)
IC 4756 (OC/Oph) Graff's ClusterI saw it this time in the 10x; it has a low surface brightness (12.6), but in the area bounded by HIPs 91499, 91418A, and 91220, I could see
a misty patch. Using averted vision helped.
Kemble-1 (As/Cam) It's getting easier to find this. It does deserve the 15x
Mel-20 (OC/Per) -
M2 (GC/Aqr) Discernible in the 10x; the shopping cart was not easily seen
M11 (OC/Scu) The Wild Duck Cluster
M13 (GC/Her) Quite dim
M34 (OC/Per) -
M36 (OC/Aur) Barely visible
M38 (OC/Aur) Invisible, but I've decided that I prefer to look at the neighboring stars that form the smiling face
M45 (OC/Tau) -
NGC 1502 (OC/Cam) -
NGC 6633 (OC/Oph) Loud and clear!
Stock-2 (OC/Cas) -
