Hi

 

I am doing a little research for the following sky trackers

 

Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer
iOptron Skytracker
Vixen Polarie
Astrotrac TT320X-AG

 

I would like to ask, after polar aligning the tracker with the included polar scope and attaching a DSLR camera with a 200mm lens, if it is possible to have 5 minutes exposures with round stars in any direction of the sky the camera is looking at.

 

 

With my setup, a Vixen GP mount with a RA motor drive and DSLR camera with 200mm lens attached to it, I take round stars with 5 minutes exposure when the camera is looking WEST. In any other sky direction, with the same exposure time, I get star trails...
