Orion ED80T CF Triplet - plus - Astronomik CLS Filter

I couldn't resist anymore - after buying my cannon 1200d I just has to have a decent 80mm apo.

Ive just pressed the button on 2 items

- Orion ED80T CF Triplet Apochromatic Refractor Telescope

- Astronomik CLS CCD Filter EOS Clip fit

I decided to follow the set up of this guy - link at end of post.

I know it's not the exact same - ive also yet to get more kit ie guide scope etc but I wanted to make a good start.

Ive now got lots to do planets and dso.

Ive made a good start with the apt software on my laptop whilst connected to my 1200d - so I'll be using that with my 8" newt and Jupiter pretty soon.

Ill then add my orion into the mix and take some unguided Jupiter and dso - ill need to nail polar alignment for my dso and stellarium which connects but not as yet moves my eq5 pro.
