Public Star Party - April 9th Letchworth

The Letchworth & District Astronomical Society is holding two events in Letchworth on Saturday 9th April.

From 11-4 they will be holding a public astronomy session in Leys Square in the town. From 7.30 they will be holding the main star party at their observing site at Standalone Farm and will include viewing with members' scopes, use of the society scope - a 14" Meade LX200, and displays / talks in the barns.

A big thank you to everyone who turned up both during the day and in the evening. Approximately 400 people turned up to the PSP and we had 15-20 scopes trained on a variety of targets including the Moon, Saturn and various Messier objects.
