Bulb-blower + misted-up eyepieces = Happy observer!

Why did I never think of this before?? Last night I had the dreaded problem of eyepieces fogging up while observing. I simply can't keep all my eyepieces warm all night!

But I had a brainwave, and used a bulb blower to clear off the mist - it works instantly. I have one handy to blow off any dust that settles, but never thought to use it like a hairdryer.

Of course it's not a permanent solution, but you can just keep it handy in a warm pocket.

Ha ha, yes it's not just for eyepieces, I noticed this the other night when trying to blow some specks off the refractor's objective! Instant demister!

A bulb blower is used to gently blow away small dust particles. The blower can be used alone or prior to cleaning with a solvent to reduce the chance of scratching the optical surface.
