Book Recommendation Please

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Whem I'm out observing I love to know the facts about what I'm looking at, distance, size, temperature etc etc. Can anybody recommend a book of 'facts' for the Northern Hemisphere that I could use?

Thanks in Advance

Paul

Hi,

Lots of folks think very highly of Turn Left at Orion.

If you are looking for something more in the scientific line - I use Astronomy - Journey to the Cosmic Frontier by J. Fix as my classroom text for beginning astronomy. You can get a used copy of the 5th edition on Amazon for just a few dollars. Highly recommended.
