Help choosing a solar filter

Hi all,

Just a quick check to see if I'm going about this the right way. I would like to view the solar event on the 4th with my sky watcher 130p.

Looking on the first optic site, do I just need a 130mm full-aperture AstroZap Baader Solar Filter?

The full aperure one is the way to go.

At 130 I am not sure if FLO provide a ready made item or if you have to buy the material and construct yourself.

Think there will be instruction/guidance on SGL to do it yourself.

Do not consider anything that is an eyepiece fitting, just mentioned it in case the thought arises.

Thanks for that, i'm thinking about buying the film and making my own filter following a guide such as this...

It will be cheaper which is good as i doubt i'll get to observe the sun often
