Sunspot 1049 - Feb 21

Got a glimpse of sunspot 1049 this afternoon by photographing the sun through a mylar filter. Made out a small dark spot with very slight fringing, and a much fainter spot heading out close to the limb. Further onto the disc a small faint spot was seen. This I guess is too small to be given a number at the mo.

The sun does seem to be more active this last couple of months. Only 2 spotless days so far this year.
