Clear Skies....No Scope yet!!!.....Got Bino's Out!!!

What a stunning clear sky.....inbetween Manchester & Oldham!

I don't have my scope yet:( (order still being processed), so I got my Bino's out, which are Pentax 12x50 PCF WPII (Anyone know if they are any good?)

But I saw for the first time Mars!!!! How cool is that, I just saw a red twinkle and knew it was due East and thought that must be it.

Saw Orions belt etc, Great Nebula in Orion and loads of other stuff I have no idea what it is!!

The Great Nebula looks stunning even through Bino's.

Anyway just thought I'd share my small moment of excitement with someone....can't wait now!

Once I get the scope I will do a proper first light review....

Who else is out near me and what can you see?

Orion nebula is always a great sight even with binos.

The scope and a steady seeing night will make it much more enjoyable.

Nice to hear you are getting to know your way around the sky before the scope gets there. That will speed up the learning curve!

Pentax does nothing short of excellent so I'm sure those binos are great.
