M31 Dalby Forest Star Fest

I was hoping for 60 x 60 secs subs but on checking the images something must have happened(!) half way through as only 30 images were sharp enough. Anyway, though I would post this after a quick process. Used a Z66, canon 300d (unmod) and EQ6 mount. ISO is 800 but images still looks noisy!

hi John,

I had a go at this one a few days ago and found it quite tricky to proccess (although I'm no expert). I suspect you may need at least an hour of subs in order to bring out the detail without the noise, although the dust lanes are showing through well in your image.

Zap that orange,well most of it......... leave a bit in the middle......... and you have a pretty good image there.
