Nexstar 6SE for school kids - woohoo!

Recommended Posts

Woot! Today marks the arrival of the physics department's first proper telescope from FLO. All I have to do now is practice using it so it looks slick in front of the kids when we have after school astronomy sessions (which might be at a sensible time in the evening by December). I can't wait to show them Jupiter, they'll be blown away!

I've just been tinkering and aligning the finder scope and plucking up the courage to check the collimation. The tripod is the perfect height for Year 8 (2nd year for those of you that went to school back when) when the legs aren't extended. It's like Celestron knew!
