SW EQ6-R PRO

Hi all,

Just curious. I'm retiring my old CG5 GT and am going to replace it with a SW EQ6-r pro. My question is: looking at several sources I see some have a USB port directly under the Hand Control socket on the mount and others do not. Is this some thing that was deleted/added on newer mounts? 

Anyone encounter problems with connecting the above to an ASIair plus?

The more recent models have the USB port and can connect to your PC or ASIAIR with just a straightforward USB A to B cable. I have connected several mounts to my PC and AIRS with zero problems. This eliminates the need for an EQDIR cable.

Many thanks  Bosun21.  With the CG5 I had to follow a specific start up routine, otherwise the ASIAIR refused, point blank, to see the mount!
