M13, IC4617 and NGC6207 in LRGB

Recommended Posts

It is a long time since I have been able to complete the data for an image in one session, but last night offered a rare moonless night for the duration of astronomical twilight and darkness. This is an LRGB image of M13, which also captures the galaxies IC4617 and NGC 6207.  The image was captured with my QHY268M and Antlia Pro V LRGB filters through a TS130 Photoline APO mounted on a Paramount MyT guided with an OAG and ZWO174MM.  The total integration time was 4 hours, comprising 1 hour of 120s integrations each in L, R, G and B under Bortle 5 skies with pretty poor seeing.   The data was acquired with SGPro and processed in PixInsight.  The annotated version also shows a large number of more distant galaxies.  The cropped version reminds me of diamonds scattered on black velvet.  Constructive criticism is always welcome.
