Veil Nebula Post Processing (DSS Red Output Image)

Hello everybody,

I have just started doing Astrophotography and wondered if anyone could give some advice.

I have stacked a number of raw files into DSS producing the output tif attached of the veil nebula, if they help in anyway I have included the original raw files.

What I am trying to discover is why the staked image comes out so red and some parts show swirls when the image is stretched.

I have used a Sony DSLR A58 with a light pollution filter.

Many thanks in advance.
