I very much enjoyed pt 1 of Jim Al-Khalili's new BBC4 documentary about the beginning and end of the universe. The section on Edwin Hubble and his Cepheid variable inspired me to go back and have a look at my own data and see if my humble 6" RC had managed to pick it up.
