aligning in Registax

Registax is having severe difficulty aligning my shakey Saturn. If the image dances over the screen too much is it basically a case of "don't bother"?

Going to get out the whisky now and join all you boozers on the forum tonight. Had enough of this!

Oh boy, the hours I've spent with shaky footage and Registax! OK, you need to give it the widest alignment area possible. Try preprocessing with ninox/ppmcentre.

That's probably what I was doing wrong! I'm trying that now and it seems to be doing better. Much, much slower though...
