8se guide scope question

Hi, ive an celestron 8se & I'm planning on fitting a guide scope, I'm thinking of the celestron guide scope but ive heard that a dovetail bar can't be fitted on the scope, which is a problem.

Is this true? If so has anyone got around this issue?

Hi, you can fit a Baader mini dovetail to the top of the tube. This will them allow you yo fit the mini dovetail system guide scope rings.

There are probably other solutions too.

However I don't think there is much point guiding if you are using the SE mount as you will still get field rotation with an AZ mount

I'm upgrading my mount to the cgem dx goto so the AZ mount will be history.
