Celestron deluxe tele-extender problem

Hi,

I just bought a Celestron CPC 925 GPS scope last month and am absolutely loving it ! Got a Baader Hyperion 8mm eyepiece and the views of Jupiter and Mars through that are awesome !

I also just purchased the Celestron deluxe tele-extender and T-ring so I can take some photos with my Nikon D80 DSLR, however I have come across a problem in that the thumb screws on the 1.25" visual back supplied with my scope are too large to fit the slot on the tele-extender, therefore I can't lock the eyepiece in place in the tele-extender.

I contacted Celestron support about this and they replied saying that I should use one of the thumb-screws from the star-diagonal as they are smaller, but this is incorrect - the thumb screws on the diagonal are even larger.

Has anyone any experience with the tele-extender and come across this problem ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated !
